Goals In Life

HomeFamily"Me" Time

I have devided the goals I set for my life into four categories. I plan on evolving my goals as I reach each one, so that I am continually looking forward and improving myself.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS at Franklin University
  • Completion of my Digital Photography Certification
  • Continually keep up-to-date with my education within the MIS field so that it keeps my company competitive.
  • Strive for excellence within my educational career.
  • Improve my GPA.
Career
  • Entry-level position within an IT or MIS department within 6 months of graduation
  • Work my way up to a management position in a company (preferably a company in the Seattle area)
  • Convert to an independent consulting type of position within the MIS field
  • To be able to travel within the scope of my career
Philanthropy
There is really just one area of philanthropy that has my interest and my heart at this time. Because of my Son's personal struggle with Batten Disease I want to make it my life's goal to help find a cure so that no other child has to ever struggle with any form of this illness. There will eventually be many different organizations that I may diversify my philanthropic interests into, but for now it is just the BDSRA (Batten Disease Support and Research Association). This organization has been a source of comfort, information, support, and networking. They truly strive to help all parents of any form of Batten Disease, they even pay special attention to siblings and grandparents.
Retirement
When I retire I want to be able to travel domestically and abroad to photograph place that I have only read about in magazines, like National Geographic.I would love to visit Scotland and possibly track my family's Genealogy, so that my Daughter can have an accurate account of her origin. My dream would be (when I travel within North America) to have my own RV or coach and haul my motorcycle around. To travel to all those places I have wanted to see and photograph the local people of those areas, their landscapes and architecture.
