Our Bachelor of Science in Analytics program prepares students for a range of career paths through three focus areas: Applied Data Science, Business Analytics, and Healthcare Analytics. These focus areas enable students to specialize in their field of interest and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. Applied Data Science provides a technical focus with an emphasis on programming, technical tools, cloud computing, project management, and data management. Business Analytics offers a foundation in business principles and practices, including accounting, management, finance, and marketing. Healthcare Analytics focuses on healthcare management, management practice, informatics, legal aspects, and information and systems.
Graduates of our program will have the ability to apply analytics methods and tools in problem-solving, utilize business domain knowledge and data for decision-making, illustrate and present insights to a broad audience, analyze potential biases and ethical implications in various contexts, and implement best practices in management to optimize performance or protect sensitive data. The program's core courses include a wide range of topics such as statistics, mathematics for analytics, ethics, communication, database, SQL, Python, and R programming, cybersecurity, data visualization with tableau and other tools, analytics modeling, machine learning, advanced topics in analytics, and a capstone project experience.
